Information
The Quillen Pickleball Palooza will feature a “Round Robin” seeding round, followed by a single elimination “Medal Round”. The Medal Round seeding will be determined from the results of the round robin using (1) games won (2) then head-to-head, and (3) then DUPR points (pts won/pts won + pts lost).
The seeding round will be to 11 points, win by 1, switch at 6, 2 time-outs game.
If there are enough teams, we will divide teams into GOLD and SILVER divisions and teams will play for championships in their respective divisions.
The medal round will be best 2 out of 3 games to 11 win by 2, switch at 6 in 3rd game, 2 time-outs per games.

The Advanced Divisions will also feature a Moneyball pay-out where the players are competing for cash awards.
Players can play in multiple categories (Ex: Singles and Doubles), but they will have to pay additional fees. For Doubles play, participants can register with a partner if they choose. If they do not register with a partner, we will try to assign them one before the tournament begins.
Please keep in mind that the goal of our event is to raise money for St. Jude and to facilitate fun and competitive pickleball play. With that in mind, we ask that participants self-rank themselves honestly using the breakdown provided below.

In addition, there will be Beginner Instructional Play where our instructors will lead a two-hour clinic teaching players the basic rules and fundamentals of pickleball. We will teach skills, facilitate rallies, and practice score keeping. This is a great option for beginners looking for a fun introduction to the sport.

$50.00 registration fee
$30.00 registration fee for current ETSU students
$5.00 registration fee for each additional division
Prizes
1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Place medals will be awarded in each division.

Weather policy
The Quillen College of Medicine has reserved the Pickleball Courts at the Memorial Park Community Center for the full days of March 23rd and 24th. In the case of inclement weather, we will do our absolute best to make sure the games get played within this window of time. However, there are no alternative rain dates available. Please keep in mind that the goal of our event is to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and as such we will not offer refunds if the tournament is unable to be held due to weather conditions. Thank you for your understanding.
